Justanotherbottle continued his excellent campaign with success in the Ripon Cathedral City Of The Dales Handicap for Kevin Ryan.

The seven-year-old won the Great St Wilfrid Handicap at the track in August and was beaten in the Beverley Bullet Stakes last month, but made no mistake this time when powering home under Kevin Stott.

"He's had a great season," said assistant trainer Adam Ryan. "He only came to us last year so it's been a bit of a learning curve but he's thrived in the last few months and the blinkers have worked.

"He always had a good chance after winning the Great St Wilfrid and he's really put some good runs together. He's an older boy now but he seems to be in the form of his life. I'm delighted for his owners Steve Ryan and Martin Tedham, who moved him to us last season."

On future targets, Ryan added: "We'll see what the handicapper does. He's probably close to having to run in Pattern company. Given his form it might be the time to have a crack at something bigger."

Off the mark

Rainbow Colours scored at the third time of asking when virtually making all to land the 6f novice for trainer Mark Johnston.

The two-year-old, who finished second in a Wolverhampton maiden on her most recent start, won by two and three-quarter lengths.

Johnston and Joe Fanning doubled up with Dreams Unwind, who won comfortably from favourite Zhang Fei in the 1m4f handicap.
