Former Classic hope Corelli made up for lost time when scoring on his first start for over six months in the feature £20,000 Betway EBF Buccaneer Conditions Stakes.

There was a competitive six-runner turnout for the first running of the 1m4f contest and the John Gosden-trained colt was easy to back in the morning prior to going off at 3-1.

The son of Point Of Entry had been absent since finishing third in the Listed Derby Trial at Lingfield in May but you would not have known it judging by the way he powered up the straight under Robert Havlin to hold Three Weeks and favourite Victoria Drummond.
