Josephine Gordon came to Lingfield for one mount and went home with praise ringing in her ears after executing a perfect front-running ride to take the £19,000 feature on Pearl Spectre.

Pearl Spectre was competing two classes above the level he had been winning at but, under last year's champion apprentice, he did not look out of place.

Taking him straight to the front, Gordon stole four lengths when she kicked two furlongs out and the pursuers, led by last year's winner Shyron, got no nearer than a length at the line.
