Alan King has made a habit of going into the Cheltenham Festival with a bonus on offer from a Plumpton winner and this year is going to be no exception after Good Man Pat won the last qualifying race.

The Barbury Castle trainer has the only successful bonus winner in Voy Por Ustedes and has also had some bad luck, citing Bensalem falling in his quest before going back to the festival to win a year later.

Ill fortune nearly intervened again as Midnight Tune fell two out in the path of the odds-on Good Man Pat, who somehow sidestepped the mare before Wayne Hutchinson regained his momentum to see off sole remaining rival All Currencies.
