Goldie notches second double in as many days at home track

Punters sticking with wily local trainer Jim Goldie were in clover as he plundered two more prizes at the track to go with the two he collected 24 hours earlier.

Goldie knows every blade of grass at the course, which is 28 miles away from his stables in the picturesque village of Uplawmoor, near Glasgow, and made the most of home advantage with the victories of Euchen Glen and Tommy G.

“The horses are really blooming at the moment with the sun on their back and we kept back a few good ones for this meeting,” he said.
