Five years after Frankel recorded his stunning win in the 2,000 Guineas on the Rowley Mile, his son Eminent was the first of his offspring to grace the historic venue and duly stuck to the script when posting an impressive debut victory in the opening mile maiden.



The strapping colt, who was giving his sire his 11th individual winner, is the only Frankel youngster winning trainer Martyn Meade has in is care. He was well bought at 150,000gns by agent Dermot Farrington as he was the second cheapest Frankel yearling to go under the hammer at Tattersalls last October.
