Fortune favours the brave as Power makes all aboard Woodland Opera

As the old saying goes, fortune favours the brave and Robbie Power was paid off in spades in the feature PWC Champion Chase at Gowran Park as he threw caution to the wind coming down to the last aboard the Jessica Harrington-trained Woodland Opera.

Whether Power needed a big one at the time is questionable, but it made for superb viewing as Woodland Opera answered every call before running out a thoroughly impressive ten-length winner in a race that was robbed of its star billing when Balko Des Flos, Ballyoisin and Ballycasey were taken out because of the ground.
