Force is with Rossa Ryan after treble continues his sensational start to season
Rossa Ryan closed out Wednesday’s racing with a winner at York, and picked up where he left off the next day by landing a treble at Salisbury.
The 20-year-old jockey claimed the opener with Superior Force, scoring on his debut, before winning the feature race with the unbeaten Lord Protector for Ralph Beckett.
Ryan then took the 1m4f handicap when Reverend Hubert got the better of a photo finish with 150-1 shot Downsman.
Talking to Racing TV, Ryan said: "I’ve just been very lucky. I'd have said they were mad if someone had told me at the start of the year I'd have around 60 winners.
"I came back from being at home and I hit the ground running. The toughest month is February and the first two weeks of March, and I thought if I can stay going through that I would be doing well."
Superior Force’s victory continued George Boughey’s remarkable run of two-year-old success.
An £88,000 son of Ardad, Superior Force gave Boughey his eighth winner from 15 starts with two-year-olds.
Oisin Murphy takes two
Oisin Murphy rarely goes a day without a winner, and Thursday was no exception as he bagged a double with favourites Military Mission and Pretty Fair.
Military Mission scored by eight and a half lengths in the 1m2f novice stakes for Hugo Palmer to break his duck on his fifth start.
The champion jockey then delivered another first victory for Pretty Fair, who snatched victory by a neck from Tucson Cloud for Simon and Ed Crisford.
