It's a bit like buses. Having waited a few months to get off the mark after taking over the licence from his late father, Fran Flood saddled his second winner in five days when Peace N' Milan followed up her victory at Fairyhouse on Saturday to gamely land the mares' handicap hurdle under top weight.

It was a match between her and the front-running Zipporah from the approach to the second-last, with Flood's mare gradually overhauling her main opponent despite losing a fair bit of momentum with a mistake at the second last.

"It didn't look a really strong race on paper and Zipporah got the same hike as us for her win here last time and it was the 4lb we had in hand that was the help – we needed that today," said Flood.
