Fireglow lights up Newmarket with impressive Listed victory

While Minding was busy notching her sixth Group 1 win more compliments were being paid to her previous form as Fireglow - fourth to Minding in the 1,000 Guineas - ran out an impressive winner of the opening Listed contest.

Having her first start over a mile and a half, Fireglow took a while to warm to the task but was able to quickly put the contest to bed once she did.

Under the champion jockey Silvestre de Sousa, the daughter of Teofilo cleared away as she hit the rising ground to win by two lengths and prove her aptitude at this distance.
