Even on the most sombre day you can rely on Fergal O'Brien to keep smiling.

And the perennially genial trainer had reason for good cheer after Global Fame took the 2m3½f maiden hurdle, looking a smart chasing prospect for when racing resumes after the coronavirus-enforced shutdown.

"We've got to smile," he said. "It's disappointing for everyone but we're all in the same boat; we've just got to keep rowing together."
