Family fortunes for McBride as progressive Zumran scores again

Trainers love their families, especially their equine families, and the chance to handle horses closely related to others they have had through their hands is something they often look for.

Three years ago Charlie McBride trained the smart filly Stroll Patrol, but could only watch on as her half-sister made 45,000gns at the yearling sales the following year.

However, that filly, subsequently named Zumran, ended back at the sales 12 months later, where she was snapped up by breeder Martin Percival for 12,000gns. Given the performances of Stroll Patrol, there could be only one place to send her.
