Est Illic boosts sale prospects after scoring in style for grateful Davies
Est Illic provided trainer Sarah-Jayne Davies with a "much-needed" winner and put himself in the shop window with a commanding victory in the 2m1½f handicap chase.
Davies, who is based near Leominster in Herefordshire, earned her second win of the season and 15th of the last five years with six-year-old Est Illic, for whom she recently paid £3,800 at the Goffs UK Autumn Sales.
"It was much needed, that's the best way to describe it, especially given all that's happened this year," Davies said. "We're only able to buy cheap horses. He's for sale and I'd love to find him a new owner."
