Equiano brother Mostahel impresses under Dettori

As a brother to two-time King's Stand winner Equiano, Mostahel looks tailor-made for sprinting and he hinted at a fair level of ability with a clear-cut victory in the 6f maiden.

Tried over 1m½f ten days earlier when a promising second at Leicester, the Richard Hannon-trained colt showed a striking turn of foot under Frankie Dettori, who treated the bank holiday crowd to a flying dismount on a rare visit to the course.

"The drop back to sprinting has suited and he's done it well," said the jockey.
