Gordon Elliott picked Limerick as the stage for his latest Paul Daniels impression as he turned the 2014 Triumph Hurdle winner into a Munster National winner.

This magic trick was all the more mesmerising when you take into consideration that Tiger Roll looked about as enthusiastic as a child heading to the dentist when well beaten in a novice chase at Listowel last month.

So remote did Elliott think his chances were that he phoned Eddie O'Leary, of owners Gigginstown House Stud, to discuss taking him out and running at Punchestown on Thursday instead.
