Owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede have a select team for Aintree this week and raised their glasses early for the Merseyside bash after The Bottom Bar justified favouritism in the 2m4½f maiden hurdle.

The pair's racing manager Anthony Bromley stopped off to watch the race on his way to Liverpool to survey potential future purchases at the sales after racing on Thursday.

The winner was a Bromley purchase himself having being bought out of Paul Webber's yard for £100,000 last year and was making just his second start for trainer Nicky Henderson.
