Double caps wonderful weekend for global maestro Weld

Having watched his latest big US success courtesy of Zhukova unfold on TV on Saturday night, Dermot Weld crossed the road from his Rosewell House stables to score with his two runners at his home track.

Tandem in the 1m4f conditions race and Dabulena in the 1m2f three-year-old fillies' maiden were both ridden by Pat Smullen who went on to complete a treble when landing the 1m handicap on the Aidan Howard-trained Not A Whisper.

Tandem, an eight-year-old, was making it two from two this year and bringing his career tally to eight wins – seven on the Flat and one over hurdles.
