Nina Walsh, formerly Nina Carberry, saw her colours carried to victory in the feature mares' handicap hurdle by Dinard Rose, who should go on to better things over hurdles.

The Noel Meade-trained daughter of Champs Elysees was the first leg of a late double on the card for rider Sean Flanagan and she registered a convincing success, picking up well on the run to the last and asserting from the final flight to beat the persistent Stucker Hill by five lengths.

She impressed her rider, who was in no doubt as to the key to this victory. He said: "She has shown a bit of ability all along. Her jumping was a bit careful early on but the crucial thing for her today was the step up in trip. She stays very well.
