Size does not always matter. Peter Hiatt’s stable star Red Tea is a shining example.

The diminutive daughter of Sakhee, described by the trainer as his best buy, landed her biggest prize with victory in the feature £25,000 British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Handicap under apprentice Finley Marsh.

A return to Newmarket, where she was an unlucky second on her penultimate start, or a Listed assignment at Pontefract – a track at which she boasts form figures of 312 – are among the options for the progressive five-year-old, formerly trained by Tony Coyle, whose part-owner Shelley Tucker collected the trophy.
