Cheering home a winner as an owner is as sweet the first time as it is the most recent – just ask Peter Clarke.

There was no hiding his delight after handicap chaser Granville Island, trained by Jennie Candlish, landed a hat-trick at the age of 11 in the feature £14,300 2m4f contest.

Clarke and his wife Gwenda enjoyed many days at the Cheltenham Festival with staying hurdler Cross Kennon and continue to take great pleasure in seeing their familiar blue and yellow silks carried to victory.
