Far Too Beautiful showed her more experienced rivals the way with an excellent debut success for trainer Michael Attwater.

The 28-1 shot's three rivals in the 1m3½f novice had already had their racecourse bows, but Far Too Beautiful quickened smartly inside the final furlong to get the better of the Mark Johnston-trained Military Two Step by three-quarters of a length.

A delighted Attwater said of the daughter of Farhh: "She hasn't done a lot wrong at home, but was never keen on stalls – thankfully that went well.

"She's put in a good display there on soft ground, especially against the top two. I thought we'd be having our own battle with the other outsider, but it turns out she might be a bit better than we thought.

"She was a still a bit green, but really stuck her head out and battled well when she got a tap. All she can do is improve from here."

Greycious victory

The drop to a career-low mark worked the oracle for Greycious Girl, who broke her maiden in division one of the 6f handicap under Charlie Bennett.

The three-year-old started the season off a mark of 58, but dropped to 53 here she stayed on well under the stands' rail to win by two and a half lengths.

"She's very straightforward and Rod [Millman, trainer] told me to keep it simple on her," Bennett said. "She's been running in better races, but once she got the rail here she had things under control.

"She seemed to appreciate a bit of dig in the ground, but I'm not sure she'd be too bothered by any sort of ground moving forward."
