Debut victories: Baileys brings back memories of Supplicant for Fahey

If the past is anything to go by, the performance of Baileys In Bloom in the second division of the 5f fillies' novice stakes could prove a sign of things to come for Richard Fahey.

The two-year-old represented a debut winner for first-season sire Supplicant, who won for Fahey over the same course and distance as a juvenile in May 2013 before going on to win the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury.

On comparisons between the pair, Fahey said: "She seems very tough and genuine, as you'd expect. She tries very hard and from stall eight you'd have to say that's a smart performance."
