Even a champion finds it hard to ride winners at York. Just ask Silvestre De Sousa.

The 36-year-old who rode a brilliant race to deny the Derby winner Golden Horn on 50-1 shot Arabian Queen in the Juddmonte International here in 2015, had gone 786 days without success on the Knavesmire since.

That clearly did not put off punters who backed his mount Zabeel Prince into 15-8 favourite in a 20-runner field for the 1m handicap and the man who will officially regain the Stobart Jockeys' championship at Ascot next weekend did not let them down.
