Neil Mulholland has enjoyed a successful start to the season, highlighted by stable star The Young Master's victory at Chepstow's Silver Trophy meeting last weekend, and Dandolo Du Gite looked a smart prospect when taking the opening maiden hurdle.

The son of Khalkevi looked a picture in the paddock and confirmed that promise with a dominant performance on track, establishing a healthy lead in the early stages and sustaining it up to the line, despite Keel Over's best efforts.

Four lengths was the final verdict, and another low-key race could be next according to Mulholland, who does not have any spectacular targets in mind.
