Henry Daly: the only man to have won the Listed Lady Godiva Mares' Novice Chase

Shropshire trainer Henry Daly maintained his unbeaten record in the feature Lady Godiva Mares’ Novice Chase as Atlanta Ablaze delivered a dominant display to land Listed honours.

Daly won the previous running of the £25,000 eventmasters.co.uk-sponsored contest with Briery Belle in 2016 and The Last Man Standing-owned Atlanta Ablaze beat odds-on favourite Jester Jet by 19 lengths with champion jockey Richard Johnson in the saddle.

Jumping is the name of the game and she gained several lengths on her rivals at many fences, particularly down the tricky back straight.
