Hector Crouch is just two wins from having his claim cut to 3lb after a dominant ride on progressive Guns Of Leros for his boss Gary Moore in the totesport.com Apprentices' Derby.

The race is among the most prestigious of the year for apprentices and Crouch was proud to win it, having been a close second in 2014 on stablemate Whinging Willie.

He said: “Guns Of Leros is a lovely ride and it’s a great race to win. He’s improving quickly and very straightforward. He’s got such a big stride and just gallops.”
