Craiganboy lands inaugural win for absent Lysaght

BBC racing correspondent Cornelius Lysaght missed seeing his horse Craiganboy land a touch as he prepared for a hectic four days at the Cheltenham Festival.

Lysaght was checking out the Irish challenge for the jumping showpiece as his colours were carried to victory by the previously disappointing eight-year-old.

Backed into 14-1 (from 25) on course, Craiganboy found a late spurt on the run-in under Grant Cockburn to collar favourite Las Tunas and score by two and a half lengths from Virnon in the 2m2f novice handicap chase.
