Cracking and Silver delight Dullea as Orr records 2,990-1 treble
Conditional rider Conor Orr and trainer James Dullea had that Friday feeling at Limerick as the pair teamed up to record a double, before Orr completed a 2,990-1 treble aboard the Austin Leahy-trained Killacolla at 10-1.
The County Donegal-based rider and older brother of 2017 champion apprentice Oisin, said after the memorable afternoon: "To have three winners from my first three rides on the card is just brilliant. It was my first double and now my first treble – I've ended my 7lb claim today as well."
The meeting began with the pair springing a surprise as Rocky's Silver (available at 100-1 in the morning before being sent off 33-1) built on some uninspiring efforts over fences to land the opening maiden hurdle in very convincing fashion.
