Towelrads Boy put the pressure on some fancied opposition in the 5f novice stakes to give new owner Clive Norman and his friends a first ever winner.

The son of Red Jazz was only third best in the betting behind 4-6 chance Militia and the improving Axe Cap but turned the market on its head and won going away under PJ McDonald.

Winning trainer Paul Cole's son and assistant Olly wasn't surprised by the success of the 15-2 chance, who had shown some promise on his only previous start on the turf at Leicester.
