Classy Oscar looks smart prospect after strolling to wide-margin win

Enniscoffey Oscar looked a serious horse when sauntering to an easy 15-length success in the 2m5f novice hurdle.

He had already proved himself to be pretty useful by finishing runner-up in the Grade 2 bumper at Aintree in the spring, and, judged on this run, it looks as though he is going to be an even better hurdler as Nick Scholfield brought him home well clear of the previously unbeaten Dandy Dan.

He is owned by The Pick 'N' Mix partnership and is trained by Emma Lavelle who said: "He is a lovely horse with a great attitude, all he wants to do is please you. Like all my horses this season he needed a couple of runs to come to himself and I was delighted with his run last time at Kempton.
