The well-regarded Forest Bihan warmed up for his spring campaign, which could include Cheltenham, with a classy win in the most valuable of the six jumpers' bumpers.

In a race that wasn't run to suit him as they went no gallop and he raced keenly, he cruised up in the straight with Danny Cook holding a double handful, but then had to quicken again to hold the late run of The Resdev Way.

"He's class, he has so many gears I'd love to run him on the Flat," said Brian Ellison who trains the seven-year-old for Phil and Julie Martin.
