Fleeting Visit gave trainer Graeme McPherson a welcome change of fortunes when winning the maiden hurdle, ending a run of bad luck which saw the winner's regular rider Kielan Woods missing the ride with a broken collarbone.

The Gloucestershire trainer, who has his owners' day on Sunday, said: "We had a great start to the summer with four winners in May, but then we've gone through one of those unlucky phases."

The yard had gone through the entirety of July and August, as well as the beginning of the month, without a winner.
