Candy and Sweeney combine for Listed success

Henry Candy is on the Group-race trail again after Chain Of Daisies lowered the track record with an impressive front-running performance in the Listed Upavon Stakes.

Candy may have only had nine winners this year but another decent prize to go with Limato's July Cup and Twilight Sun's Golden Jubilee puts him in the top echelon of prize-money earners, a sum added to later by the apprentice handicap loose-change success of Exoplanet Blue.

Chain Of Daises clipped six hundredths off the record time of Journey set in this EBF Stallions-sponsored fillies' feature last year as Fergus Sweeney judged the pace perfectly after stepping in for the suspended Dane O'Neill.
