Celtic Beauty set for Lowther Stakes after convincing Naas success

Trainer Ken Condon will aim Celtic Beauty at the Group 2 Lowther Stakes at York later this month after his Royal Ascot runner-up got off the mark in the sprint maiden at Naas.

Celtic Beauty, who disappointed at Newmarket less than a month after being narrowly beaten in the Group 3 Albany Stakes, beat American Lady by two and a half lengths.

"It’s nice to get the maiden win," said Condon. "She disappointed at Newmarket but she isn't the first horse to go there and not take to the track. We were putting it down to that.
