Celestial Magic plays part in big day for owner Watts

Cheltenham and Northamptonshire were joined after Celestial Magic carried the silks of owner June Watts to a workmanlike victory in the 1m7½f handicap hurdle.

Watts and her husband Tim were at Prestbury Park as their company Pertemps Network Group sponsored the handicap hurdle landed by Presenting Percy, but they were quickly on the phone to congratulate Celestial Magic’s trainer Richard Phillips.

Phillips said: “Obviously Tim and June had to be at Cheltenham but don’t worry, there's plenty of celebrating in their box as they've just been in touch, and I hope there'll be a lot more celebration when I'm at Cheltenham tomorrow.
