Carr delighted as Explain gets back to winning ways under super Sullivan

James Sullivan enjoyed a fantastic afternoon with a double, including a hard-fought victory aboard Explain in the feature 7f handicap.

Riding the Ruth Carr-trained six-year-old, who was beaten by a short head at Pontefract in his last outing, Sullivan battled strongly to the line to defeat nearest challenger Queen Penn.

And Carr said: "We're very pleased he's won today as he deserved it after finishing so close at Pontefract last time.
