Cambridgeshire on agenda for Cote D'Azur who wins fourth race on the trot

It is 19 years since Far Ahead gave Les Eyre his biggest winner in the 1997 Ebor Handicap, but the trainer looks to have another useful prospect on his hands in Cote d'Azur, who gained his fourth win on the trot in the featured 1m2f handicap.

The progressive three-year-old, who is owned by Billy and Steven Parker, was having his run for Eyre, his previous wins being for Sir Mark Prescott.

Eyre said: "Billy saw him win his second race, at York and asked me to approach Sir Mark to see if he would be for sale. I've only had him for ten days, but he is a nice horse though he needs to settle down and could have done with a stronger pace there. I put him in the Cambridgeshire this morning, so we will aim him towards that."
