Four days on, the photo-finish went the right way and allowed Henry Brooke to make a triumphant return to the scene of a horrific fall.

Brooke had been agonisingly pipped on Highland Lodge in Saturday's Becher Chase but this time he was the one who got up close home as Munsaab grabbed the 2m6f chase, giving the jockey his first winner since he was airlifted from the track with multiple injuries eight weeks ago and ended up in an induced coma.

The jockey, who returned to action last week, had brought chocolates for the medical staff and said: "It was the least I could do. I have a lot of thank yous to say."
