Top French rider Gerald Mosse is not really somebody you would expect to turn up at Navan on a Sunday afternoon, even for their biggest Flat meeting of the year.

He left his mark on his first visit to the Meath circuit as he teamed up with Curragh trainer Adrian Keatley to land a well-contested Listed Committed Stakes on The Broghie Man.

He gave the horse a veteran's ride, too – judging the pace to a tee as he kicked at exactly the right time on the son of Cityscape, holding on in the end by a short-head from Speak In Colours.
