Having ridden 19 winners in her best-ever season last term, Bridget Andrews, 24, reached another milestone when she joined the select band of female jump jockeys to ride out their claim by partnering Born Survivor to win the £17,200 2m4½f handicap chase.

She began her career as an amateur riding in point-to-points and had her first ride under rules back in the 2010-11 season. Now the partner of fellow jockey Harry Skelton, she is the regular second rider for the Dan Skelton team.

She said: "My first winner on the course was in a hunter chase, and the highlights would be riding Mohaayed to win at the Cheltenham Festival and Roksana to win the Grade 2 mares' final at Newbury."
