Breathtaking Ballyoisin makes up for absentees with wide-margin Fortria win
No Footpad, Saint Calvados or Great Field but Ballyoisin might have beaten the lot of them had they showed up such was the style of his 23-length stroll in the Grade 2 thetote.com Fortria Chase.
Of course, Ballyoisin has yet to scale the heights Footpad did as a novice and has a long way to go before he could be considered a Champion Chase contender but the manner in which he dismantled his three rivals was impressive.
He attacked every fence with relish and produced an extravagant round of jumping until Barry Geraghty tried to restrain him at the last.
