To say rising star James Bowen enjoyed his first visit to Ludlow is an understatement - particularly as he got one over big brother Sean.

In a snapshot of what will surely be a regular sight for years to come, the Bowen brothers fought out the closing stages of the 3m handicap chase, with the 16-year-old Stobart conditional jockeys' title leader coming out on top as Relentless Dreamer overhauled Marcilhac in the final yards.

"That's the first time on the track I've been involved in a finish with my brother," said James Bowen. "The last time was probably when I was about nine and we were riding our ponies."
