Both fences and hurdles on the agenda for Vinnie Lewis after dominant victory

Vinnie Lewis produced a dominant display to secure a first win over hurdles under an excellent ride from Harry Bannister.

The seven-year-old gelding, trained by Harry Whittington, displayed the staying prowess that led to two handicap chase victories last season.

The 11-8 favourite, a half-brother to smart chaser Stellar Notion, had to be pushed along throughout the final circuit of the 3m race. However, he asserted in the home straight to win by four and a half lengths on his first run since February.
