Gordon Elliott won the BoyleSports Irish Grand National for the first time with 20-1 shot General Principle and earned €302,500 in the race to Willie Mullins' €115,000. He is now 1-3 with Paddy Power to win the Irish trainers' championship for the first time. He has now earned €4,605,926 and leads the defending champion by €550,801.
Portnablagh provided him with his 200th winner of the season at Cork, swiftly followed by winner number 201 thanks to Getaway John.
