Manuela De Vega emulated her sister and stablemate Isabel De Urbina to make a winning debut in the 7f fillies' maiden and trainer Ralph Beckett hopes she can continue to follow in her big sister's foot steps with the Investec Oaks the dream at this stage.

After winning on her debut in 2016, Isabel De Urbina did not race again until the following season’s Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket before tackling the Oaks, and that could be the same route Manuela De Vega takes, with William Hill and Paddy Power introducing her at 33-1 for next year’s Classic.

“It’s always helpful when you have prior knowledge and we have her full sister, who was more backwards than she was and managed to win on debut, so I was pretty hopeful,” revealed Beckett.
