Twelve months ago Rebecca Curtis left the course feeling seriously down in the mouth after Beast Of Burden made a serious mistake and dumped his rider with the 2m7½f novice chase at his mercy – and nothing went right for the trainer all season.

But this time she was all smiles when Definite Outcome put matters right with a determined victory over stablemate Aurillac in the same race, setting himself on the road to the RSA Chase at Cheltenham in March.
