Aye! Aye! Captain as Lars hits six successes since being snapped up by Watson
What a money-spinner Captain Lars has proved for the Archie Watson team since being claimed by the trainer in February as he collected for the sixth time since when taking the spoils in the 5f claimer.
Watson very shrewdly splashed out £7,000 for the eight-year-old and following this victory he has now mopped up almost £30,000 in win and place prize-money for connections – and he might not have finished yet.
The Upper Lambourn-based trainer said: “He's a legend to have around the place and the plan will be to keep him going as we can mix and match turf and the all-weather over the summer months as he takes his racing really well.
