Apprentice Ghiani can't stop smiling as fabulous fortnight continues at Chepstow
Apprentice jockey Marco Ghiani admitted he can't keep the smile off his face after enjoying his fourth winner in a fortnight when Bounty Pursuit won the 7f handicap at Chepstow.
Ghiani caught the eye when pipping jockeys' championship leader Oisin Murphy with a fine ride on 28-1 chance Winning Streak at Windsor on Monday, and his red-hot run continued on the Michael Blake-trained seven-year-old who sluiced clear of his rivals.
It was Ghiani's first ride at the South Wales track and the 7lb apprentice said: "It's been really nice, he [Bounty Pursuit] won last Wednesday and it was great to see him do it again. He ran very well, he kept on at the same pace when the others got tired and I thought he won easily in the end. He gave me a great feeling."
