Bridget Andrews may have earned plaudits for her ultra-cool ride on Robin Gold at Ascot, but sister Gina was not to be outdone, as she landed the 2m female jockeys' handicap hurdle for a second successive season.

Last year Andrews rode Haafapiece to victory for Pam Sly, and the trainer again saddled the winner, this time with Xcitations, who is a half-brother to Haafapiece.

It looked like victory would be going to Friend Or Foe, who had moved powerfully to the front entering the home straight, but he started to flounder in front, with Xcitations and Andrews getting up late by a neck.
