Although he has been training since 1988 Robin Dickin had never trained a winner on the course. But he ended that drought when Anti Cool, the even-money favourite, completed a hat-trick in the 2m½f handicap chase under Charlie Poste.

Although he continually jumped right, the in-form seven-year-old cruised into contention going to the second-last but in the end had to be ridden right out to get the better of Blake Dean by three-quarters of a length.
